CCO staff William Hayes, Tyler Charles, Sam Pogorelski and Lisa Ho serve students at OWU. William works as Associate Chaplain and Director of Wilderness Ministry, and Lisa also serves in the Chaplain’s Office, as an associate staff member of the CCO. Tyler reaches out to students through a partnership with The Spring Community Church, and Sam partners with Shiloh Chapel. These positions give them ample opportunities to interact with students in a variety of settings.
William leads the Outdoor Ministry Team, a group that meets regularly for Bible study and to connect faith with leadership and outdoor skills. He leads wilderness trips, from shorter weekend trips to the Spring Break Wilderness Trek program.
William also advises OWU Faith & Justice, a discussion group that explores issues of social justice from a Christian perspective and plans the yearly trip to the Jubilee conference. Through these and other interactions, he develops mentoring and discipleship relationships with students.
